Today’s post was going to be about gay basketball. I was going to relay my experience playing highly competitive team sports with Britney Spears blasting in the background. I was going to talk about how it’s ironically(?) the best consistent run I’ve gotten since moving back to L.A.
I’m pretty sure you’re not supposed to be able to see straight through the monitor. I have no idea how it happened. I’m not even sure what exactly happened. I choose to blame the dog.
So here I am, writing day six of my personal #30BlogsIn30Days challenge on my phone, a piece of Samsung technology which has chosen not to fail me for the moment. Perhaps I should be more upset. This seems like a good moment for a tantrum. But I think I’ll be able to salvage the old one long enough to get what I need off of it. If not I didn’t need it.
Life notoriously throws roadblocks in the way of one’s goals. Instead of being upset, I’m grateful for a job that allows me to schlep to Best Buy and start over as needed. I’m also grateful for making myself still blog. It’s a lesson that can be applied broadly. Stick to commitments especially when they are hard or inconvenient.
And buy a better laptop.
